Green Cent Story

Sometimes, dreams are so vivid and clear that they feel undeniably real. They linger in your memory, and you can’t help but see them as some kind of important message.

The dream

About four years ago, I had a dream like that. I was walking through a beautiful forest, where sunlight filtered through the crowns of the trees, scattering golden droplets of light onto leaves, grass, and flowers. A joyful choir of birds sang in the background. As I walked, I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness, absorbing the beauty around me.

Suddenly, an old man appeared before me. He looked like a figure from Slavic folklore—long gray hair, a flowing beard, and an embroidered tunic. His presence was kind, his demeanor wise.

“Hello, my child,” he said, his deep voice warm and melodic. “My name is Cedar. I was a guest on this Earth many centuries before your birth, and I am one of your ancestors.”

“On my Slavic side?” I asked, instinctively.

Cedar looked at me with surprise. I realized my question was misplaced—this man had lived perhaps a thousand years ago.

“Well, my child,” he continued, “let me tell you something about myself. I was the finest house builder of my time. The homes I built had souls. They protected, healed, and created something truly special—something we call ‘home.’ These houses were almost living beings, crafted from cedar wood. That is why I was named Cedar.”

I listened, fascinated, trying to imagine his life and the magic of his creations.

“My child,” Cedar said, locking his gaze with mine, “I want you to continue my work. I want you to create a company.”

“What should I do? What kind of company? I’m not a builder. I don’t know anything about house construction.”

Cedar was about to answer, but at that moment, my German Shepherd let out a sudden bark—likely at a squirrel in the backyard. The sharp sound jolted me awake. His reply was lost.
The strange dream stayed with me. It was so beautiful, so vivid, it almost felt real. I could still feel the warmth of the sun on my skin and hear the birds singing. It was colorful and… inexplicably compelling.

“ Where did it come from? And what does it all mean?”

I pondered the dream endlessly, but the questions remained unanswered. I had no idea if I was supposed to do anything at all. Eventually, I dismissed it as just a dream and let it fade from memory.

But recently, the vision of a new company returned to me. Old dreams, long-standing interests, and decades of journalism experience suddenly clicked together like pieces of a puzzle. And in that moment, I understood what I wanted to do.

I choose the name for my new company – Green CEnt Living. “Cent” is a slippery little word. Could be a coin, could be a whisper in music theory. But for me? It’s shorthand for Cedar Enterprises—a spark that reignites an old dream and echoes those strange, stirring words once spoken by the sage Cedar.

Through Green Cent Living, I want to promote the healthiest and most natural lifestyle, sharing news, tips, and ideas for green living—the very life my guest from the past built for his neighbors and friends. He created homes that could heal, comfort, and protect the people who lived in them. We can carry forward Cedar’s legacy, expanding his vision beyond houses to an entire way of life—living in harmony with nature, embracing sustainability as an integral part of our modern world.

If we see our planet as our home, it will offer us peace, comfort, shelter, and abundance. Going green is not just a choice; it is the natural path to health and happiness.

Thank you, Cedar, for reminding me. I got your message.
